Nancy’s first priority is creating a memorable experience for the families she serves. Nancy received her Iowa Master Florist accreditation and is the current President of the Iowa Florist Association.
A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, it’s only natural that Nancy takes an active role as a “Packer Backer”, but loves her husband, Steve despite his devotion to the Chicago Bears.

Angie is not only one of our most requested wedding and sympathy consultants, she also builds relationships with area businesses that want to work with a florist offering superior quality at a fair price. Originally from Oelwein, Angie graduated from the Kirkwood Community College floriculture program in 1990. Always on the forefront of design, Angie attends many floral design workshops and presentations, and she is the resident expert on the nurturing the beautiful live plants offered at The Flower Shop.
Angie and her husband, Tom – who is a funeral director for Cedar Memorial – have two children, Mitch and Kaitlynn, and a sweet miniature schnauzer named Maci. They enjoy boating, time spent together as a family, and are members of Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church.
Cameron compassionately listens to families as they what made their loved one so special. He then uses that information to create floral and sympathy tributes that truly captures the essence of that person. Cameron graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and received a diploma from the floriculture program at Kirkwood Community College. Most recently, Cameron earned his certification as an Iowa Master Florist.
Mary’s background in the fine arts and design lends itself to creating beautiful floral arrangements for all occasions. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in Art and Business Administration and received her diploma from Kirkwood Community College’s floriculture program.
Mary enjoys traveling, reading and listening to music, but is most happy when able to spend time with her family, including daughters Amanda and Emily.
Joanna is passionate about the client experience and making each floral arrangement creative and unique. She received her Iowa Master Florist accreditation in 2014 and is the current Vice President of the Iowa Florist Association.
Joanna enjoys taking classes and workshops to keep abreast with the latest design trends, which has helped her become an award-winning designer. Her joy of decorating, scrapbooking and photography are second only to spending time with family and friends.
After retiring from her first career at Kirkwood Community College, Barb joined the team of designers at The Flower Shop at Cedar Memorial. Primarily based at the Chapel location, Barb assists families wanting a floral tribute for the mausoleum or cemetery.
In her free time, Barb enjoys traveling via motorcycle with her husband, Carsy, who is a funeral assistant for Cedar Memorial. They always look forward to attending their grandchildren’s activities, and have fun getting to them!
With over 20 years of floral and retail experience, Lisa has seen design trends come and go, but she’s always excited to see what’s next on the horizon. After getting her Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Mercy, Lisa realized that floral design was her calling, and it’s something she’s still passionate about.
When not spending time with her husband, three children or grandchild, you can find Lisa playing with her dog, gardening, bird watching and enjoying all the beautiful nature Iowa has to offer.
Cathy’s passion for exceptional customer service makes her an integral part of The Flower Shop team. Whether answering the phones, taking orders, delivering floral bouquets or lending a hand to the floral designers, Cathy always has a smile and creative suggestion.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Cathy received her Associates degree in accounting from Kirkwood Community College. She enjoys camping and boating with husband, Todd, and her sons Austin and Spencer. Cathy also uses her creative energy as a talented seamstress.
Originally from Fort Dodge, she moved to Cedar Rapids and graduated from Linn-Mar. Cindy resides in Marion with her husband, Rick and bulldog, Ipo. Their two adult children and one son-in-law live in the LA area of California. Cindy’s hobbies include reading, crafting and cooking for friends and family.
